Orange Website
The orange has segmented, juicy fruit neatly packaged in its own yellow-red rind. Equally, Orange is the quick start option to highlight different aspects of your business with for example an on-line brochure for products and services together with a company profile; the ideal choice for a small business.
The Orange website includes up to five pages of content which can be a mix of text and graphics. The web pages all have a ‘liquid’ display. This means that the site content automatically adjusts to take full advantage of the user’s screen resolution, from 800x600 to 1440x900 etc.
The website will have a W3C ‘double-A’ rating for accessibility, so for example the text size can be increased for ease of viewing (from the browser menu select View > Text Size, you can try it on this page) also people with other disabilities will be able to use the site.
Summary: Five pages, costs £500.

Web Marketing (Part Two)
Part one of this series highlighted the importance of having a good website.
Equally important for small business is to have a consistent image. This does not mean spending two million pounds with a design consultancy. But having a decent logo design, clear strapline (see below) and message etc embodied in the website, business cards and stationary builds credibility and looks more professional … and need not be expensive.
A strapline is the short phrase that best describes your business. This could be your USP – unique selling point eg "24-hour mobile chiropractor - there to get you mobile."
And having a professionally printed postcard advertisement in your local library or shop should be complemented by a website in the same style, with the same message. This attention to detail shows that you take your business, and therefore your clients, seriously.
